I need help choosing a guitar!?

not to burst your bubble but i highly recommend starting with an acoustic. mainly because they are easier to hear without an amp and believe me if you live with anyone they will not want to hear constant plunking on an amp... they don't sound as cool but they are alot more versatile... and i recommend an ibanez... kinda cheap and REally good guitars :)
