Mi in october???????

we are planning to visit mi on october 2nd for 4-5 days. will this time be good to visit mi? is the weather pleasant? and also we would like to see some snow if possible at rohtang p and try some skiiing. we are students plannin a fun trip just after exams for some relaxation :) plz any helpfull comments regarding anything. :)
