It does not seem logical that convicted criminals are allowed to appeal to a higher court, but the prosecution is stopped by the double jeopardy clause. Should it not be that if prosecution has uncovered new evidence that they should be able to re-try someone for a crime that they had been previously acquitted of?

Medication absorption after Gastric Byp?

I had gastric byp in 2003, for the last few years I have needed to take medicine for adult ADD. Time release is out of the question, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem also, the medications that come in tablet form are supposed to last 4 hrs usually taking them twice a day should work, but I am lucky if they last 2 hrs for me, anyone take any medicine like this and have any luck with it. I have tried the Daytrana Patch and it gave me a rash, I am on Focalin now, 5mg twice a day but like I said I only get about 2-3 hrs out of both doses, any suggestions?

My 3 yr old cat died but the cause is unknown...any ideas?

My 3 year old cat started displaying some weird behavior (not wanting to go outside, no treats, no nothing). I decided to watch him throughout the night and by the next morning I found him on the ground, he was still breathing but there was blood coming from his and he was really cold. So I rushed him to the vet. He said it may have been due to a blocked urinary tract or something like that since he had been neutered. Anyway, they called me an hour later saying when they put in his IV, that he went into cardiac arrest and died. We had an autopsy done to put my mind at ease since he was so young but the vet found nothing!! No idea what caused his death or what happened. Any ideas??

I have read both The Crucible and Death of a Salesman. Both of them have great uses of symbols and Miller's stage directions are always pack with good detail that you could write on. The Crucible is a allegory to McCarthyism in the 1950s, and you could write on that. Death of a Salesman explores family dynamics and juxtaposition of time periods. Both would be great to write on and are packed with literary meat. I would advise reading one of them and annotating it for any recurring motifs that show themselves. Hope you do well on your paper.

Controlling the unavoidable... Mud!?

It's not even spring yet and already pastures are mud-swamped! I'm sure horse owners dread the coming of spring because of that nasty stuff... :] Anyways, I have a mud problem. Our gate opening to our pasture is swamped. My three horses have to walk through fairly deep mud (not a huge deal for my boys but for my mare it is... I'll explain in a minute) to get into the paddock, and therefore their water. The reason it is a big deal for my mare is that she has a problem about pulling her shoes. We have bell boots on her and those have helped but she still manages to pull them off. Her hoof walls do not hold shoes very well and the mud likes to suck them off. So I was thinking about how to help resolve (or at least help a bit) the mud problem. I was thinking about pulling a few bales of straw down but then I got to thinking... Bricks can be made out of wheat and/or straw, animal dung and mud, so wouldn't the ground turn to one huge brick? Does anyone have any experience with using straw for mud control? And if not, what do you use, if anything? Thanks!

Cramping and spotting?

After 6 mths of giving birth, I started having cramping which hasnt gone away now 3 mths later. It doesnt go away like ovulation or period-is-coming cramping does. Im feeding so my period hasnt came yet. I came back on the 5th from being in Slovakia w/ my hubby's fam for a mth & while I was there I didnt take my bc pill. Last week had 2 days of brownish spotting. Thought I had my period but it never came. Now Im having stronger cramping. She kept saying how its normal for my period not to come yet which I knew & wasnt there for & I told her that! She took a urine preg test that came out neg. Don't worry too much about it, they will put you to the next flight if you missed your flight due to the previous flight delay. But like the previous answer said, you may have to wait a while until there is an available seat. This happened to me before, so I know. As soon as I arrived in Korea (layover), a lady was holding a sign for my next flight, and I thought, why would she have to do that. So I went over to her and told her that's my flight number, what's up? She said I had 30 mins before my flight is taking off and suggest that I start running. Lol! Removing glued carpet to lay vinyl tile?

I have carpet glued to my basement floor. I need to remove the carpet so I can lay vinyl tile. I imagine the glue holding the carpet will leave residue that the self-adhesive vinyl floor tile isn't going to like. Can I coat it, can I sand it, or do I have to completely strip it? Look on craigslist or ask around to try and find a larger tank, something at least 75 gallons, depending on how big your turtles are. Check around at smaller pet stores, not the big chains, and see if they have any used tanks for sale. Even if they don't hold water you can reseal them with some aquarium silicon. You would be surprised how cheap you can find aquariums for and a large aquarium will take up much less space than a kiddie pool in your house.But, If you really can't get a bigger aquarium for them, maybe you should consider rehoming them to someone?

I believe the only way to improve your game is keep your eye on the birdie and use your wrist. it's all in the wrist. if you want to work on your smash then you have to get more strength behind your arm as you let your wrist hit the birdie. works everytime because it helped me win a couple of games in gym and i had never played before in my life! hope i helped.

I've been on ovranette for about a year and a half, I've never had any problems with it and my periods are like clockwork. Sinusitis in 18 month old....are there any remedies for swelling?

So I posted last night and then took him to a walk in clinic today. Found out he has a sinus infection and all of his sinuses are plugged up. The doctor gave me amoxicillian and told me to use the childrens cold medicine. But he never said anything about getting the drainage to minimize or the swelling anybody got any ideas? I found out you can use warm tea and salt water but it helps for a little bit but does not help for long periods of time can anyone give me a suggestion? I want to send him to daycare but I dont want the swelling to be so bad that they send him home.

My brother just left the house after a fight. What can i do?

im trying to use my old lcd computer monitor as a t..v. The cheapest conversion box i found was 150. but my question is do i really need it. because i found out my dvd player which is hooked up to my cable has an s-video out port what if i were to buy a male to male s-video cable hook that up to a vga to s-video adapter then connect the adapter to a female to female vga connector and that connector to my monitor and then use a digital composite cable for audio and connect that to a surround sound system. so it would basically be dvd player s-video out port ---->male male s-video cable----->vga to s-video adapter------->female female vga gender changer------->lcd monitor. would this be possible or do i have to go with the conversion box?
